The Grand Western Horse-boat Co upholds the nostalgia of yester-year on one of only a few, traditional horse-drawn barges remaining In Britain today.
The Horse-Drawn Barge operates in all weather and has varying lengths of trips available. Sit back and relax as the friendly Captain and crew give a commentary of the fascinating history of the canal, they often have a minute's silence so you can experience the peace and tranquillity of travel by Horse-Drawn Barge
Itinerary
We enjoy a 2 and a half hour cruise, departing at 7pm on the Grand Western Canal. En-route we are served our 'Anglers Supper' a choice of a) Chicken, b) Haddock or c) Veggie Burger. All will be served with chips and in cartons.
