Scarborough
Scarborough has retained the charm and style established in its Victorian heyday. It's Elegant architecture, many interesting little shops and attractions make it a resort to relax and potter in.
Sunday: Day 1 We travel via motorways to The Esplanade Hotel, Scarborough, our base for 5 nights.
Monday: Day 2 A chance to explore your surroundings, with a full day at leisure in our host resort of Scarborough.
Tuesday: Day 3 We take a trip to the beautiful historic city of York, with its ancient streets and many visitor attractions.
Wednesday: Day 4 A full day with a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Pickering to Goathland. We then have a guided tour of the North Yorkshire National Park and ‘Heartbeat Country’.
Thursday: Day 5 A late morning departure up the coast to the popular resort of Whitby, before returning via the lovely old smugglers village of Robin Hood’s Bay.
Friday: Day 6 Homeward bound via the motorways to Somerset.
Our hotel: The Esplanade Hotel Scarborough occupies a commanding position on Scarborough’s South Cliff, and is just a short walk from the town centre, the beach and the Spa. All 73 bedrooms are en-suite, and have colour television, direct dial telephones and tea/coffee making facilities. A lift is available to all floors.
