Based in Warrington, we explore Liverpool & The North East

With so much to see and do in the North West of England, we have combined a number of well known favourites including lively Liverpool and its cathederal. Liverpool needs no introduction, don't forget to see "The Three Graces" on the waterfront. Chester has its famous "Rows", 700 year old buildings over two levels that give you two High Streets in one and the most amazing clock at the top of Foregate Street. Several lesser known excursions and the brand new RHS Garden Bridgewater.

Thursday - Day 1

Today we will leave the West Country and travel to our hotel. On the way we will stop at Worcester to explore and have lunch. Worcester is a beautiful Cathedral and University City with a fascinating history of industry, a wealth of interesting architecture, top class sports teams and venues, an unrivalled selection of high street names and independent boutiques. The city is best known for its magnificent Cathedral but is also famous for the world renowned Worcester Porcelain, the piquant Worcestershire Sauce and the most picturesque cricket ground in the country.

Friday - Day 2

A short hop to Wigan Pier this morning, to enjoy a friendly and informative two hour barge cruise. Passengers will enjoy the alternative view of the geography, wildlife and heritage of the Industrial Revolution and environs of Wigan, Leigh and the Douglas Valley. On then to the highlight of the tour for some, the brand new and spectacular 154 acre RHS Garden Bridgewater. One of the largest gardening projects in Europe, this is the Royal Horticultural Societies fifth garden and has transformed the historic grounds of Worsley New Hall in Salford.

Saturday - Day 3

This morning is in charming Chester, with time at leisure to explore the pretty medieval streets and city walls. This afternoon is admission to, and a coach tour of, Port Sunlight Village, built at the end of the 19th century and originally designed as a home for workers at the Lever Factory. Over 30 different architects were involved in the building of the village and the result is an intoxicating mix of architectural styles enchanced by a parkland setting.

Sunday - Day 4

Liverpool is today's destination for a warm welcome from the Coach Host at, and admission to, the Anglican Cathedral. This incredible feat of architectural achievement is the largest Catherdral in the UK and it is thought that St Paul's Cathedral could actually fit inside. The remainder of the day is at leisure, but not before the Coach Host provides passengers with a map of the city and the latest information on what to see and do.

Monday - Day 5

This morning we will load the coach and commence our journey back to the West Country. On the way we will visit the World of Wedgwood. The World of Wedgwood is a unique, interactive visitor experience celebrating the very best of British craftsmanship. Experience Wedgwood through shopping, food, visitor tours and art and craft workshops.
