The award-winning Trentham Garden Centre is simply MASSIVE and offers a huge range of indoor and outdoor lifestyle and gardening products. We then continue our journey to our overnight stay in Preston.

Thursday - Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast we will depart the hotel and continue our journey to the Port of Heysham ahead of the early afternoon crossing to Douglas and the Isle of Man. First we will spend time in Lancaster. Lancaster is one of England’s Heritage Cities. It’s as vibrant as it is quirky with a captivating past and a cultured present. Marvel at the Georgian splendour while enjoying coffee and a cake in one of the many cafes.

Friday - Day 3

Our first stop of the day is a visit to the House of Mannahan, named after the "great mythological sea god" Manannan, where you will take a journey from past to present that will allow you to immerse yourself in the Island's vibrant history. Our next stop is a visit to the Manx Museum. The museum is bursting with artifacts and treasures unique to the Isle of Man from the wonders of our natural world to road racing legends, there is something for everyone as you continue your journey into the Island’s history and its unique national collections.

Today we will travel to Laxey where you can walk to and view Lady Isabella – the world’s largest working waterwheel. We travel back down the mountain and board our coach to go to Ramsey, along the famous Isle of Man TT course. 'Royal' Ramsey is the second largest town on the island after Douglas. You will find some shopping streets, a harbour that is still in daily use, a beach for sun seekers, a prominent derelict pier, called the Queen’s Pier. Ramsey has a much milder and sunny climate than the rest of the island.

Sunday - Day 5

Today we travel on the steam train from Douglas to Port Erin where you will be met by the coach. Port Erin is a peaceful town with pretty gardens and a sandy beach that was first favoured by Victorian holidaymakers. We then journey back in time to the fascinating living museum of Cregneash Folk Village, where residents continue to use horsepower and speak the old local dialect. Then, it’s onto the ancient capital of Castletown and the wonderfully preserved Castle Rushen. Nearby are the wonderful views around Calf Sound.
