 SCHOOLS & SERVICES MANAGER

An exciting and challenging full-time position has become available for an analytical, problem solving person who has a keen eye for accuracy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and planning the Schools and Services within the company whilst ensuring that this is done compliantly, efficiently and cost effectively. The ideal candidate will be willing to go the extra mile and have the drive and determination to make decisions under pressure. Experience of the industry is a bonus but is not essential as full training will be given.

This is a demanding role, which requires excellent time management and prioritisation skills,

Key Accountabilities

  • To manage and deliver agreed key performance indicators
  • To ensure positive working relationships are maintained between the Company, Local Authorities and Schools
  • Managing the daily school runs, including loading figures, punctuality and pupils and drivers conduct
  •  Production and alterations to service timetables
  •  To produce accurate monthly reports to Local Authorities.
  •  To conduct any disciplinary, grievance or absence management reviews in accordance with Company policy
  •  To ensure all drivers are inducted effectively       
  •  Supervising CCTV and tracking systems

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to analyse reports
  • An appropriate level of IT skills, conversant with Microsoft Office
  • Proven history of time management and meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of the local area would be an advantage 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 17:00 with a 1 hour lunch break

Salary range  18K to 22K DOE

COMMERCIAL MECHANIC

  • Maintaining to a high level, service buses and coaches held within our fleet
  • Servicing, fault finding and mechanical repairs
  • Being on an on call rota will form part of the contract as will Saturday work
  • Minimum 45 hours per week
  • Safety equipment and clothing supplied
  • You will have to provide proof of experience in a commercial workplace
  • You will be required to work in both Yeovil and Wincanton Depots

PCV DRIVERS

PCV Drivers required in Wincanton, Yeovil and Portland

  • Full time and part time positions available for immediate start.
  • You must hold a current D category driving licence and must be able to obtain DBS clearance.
  • A driver CPC qualification would be an advantage however, this can be obtained through our in house training company if required.
  • Varied work available from service buses, private hire, day excursions and tours.
  • Company uniform supplied, excellent holiday allowance and good rates of pay.
