Blackpool Illuminations

Blackpool is a vivacious seaside resort, known throughout the world for its iconic tower, world-famous ballroom and dazzling annual illuminations display.

The Golden Mile remains the centre’s mecca of entertainment, a buzzing stretch along the promenade which connects the North and South piers where you’ll find a myriad of tourist attractions and traditional amusement arcades for some good old-fashioned fun. You can rub shoulders with celebrities in the famous Tussaud’s Wax Museum, see some of the rarest underwater creatures at the Sea Life Centre or see weird and wonderful things at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum.  There are also spectacular views of the resort’s expansive sandy beach where you can enjoy an afternoon building sandcastles, relaxing on a deckchair or enjoying an ice cream!

Sunday - Day 1

We travel via the motorways to the Imperial Hotel on Blackpool’s North Promenade.

Day 2

We enjoy a full day at leisure in our host resort of Blackpool, which is the North’s biggest, brightest and best resort packed with excitement and enjoyment.  There is some super shopping and over 7 miles of beaches.

Day 3

A chance to sit back and take in the scenery as we enjoy a full day excursion to the Lake District.  See the unique landscape of dramatic falls, deep lakes and pretty stone villages.  We head for Windermere – England’s largest natural lake.

Day 4

We take a journey through the Lancashire countryside on the East Lancs Railway before heading to Samlesbury Hall – a property built in 1325 and is steeped in fascinating history, retaining its original typical black and white exterior. Enjoy intrigue, witchcraft and centuries of enthralling times gone by throughout their archive rooms.  Saved from demolition in the 1920s by six local businessmen, it remains in the care of the Charitable Trust today with the aim of maintaining and keeping open for visitors to enjoy.

Day 5

Time for a last look at Blackpool before we make our late morning departure for home.

An Illuminations tour will be provided on one of evenings – the driver will inform you of this.

About Our Tours

We have been operating tours and mini breaks around the U.K. and abroad for a number of years, and by far the most popular innovation that we have introduced in recent years, is to offer a virtually door to door service. Picking up as near as practically possible to your home in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire means you don’t have to worry about getting your luggage to the coach, and avoids the additional cost of having to use taxis.

By using our small fleet of mini-buses, we are able to keep the pick-up time to a minimum and get you on your tour coach and on your way as soon as possible. This way your holiday starts on the first morning. Once your holiday is over we will collect you again from the coach park and return you home.
