Brighton Breezy on the South Coast

England’s south coast is a true favourite for holiday makers, with elegant seaside resorts, long beaches and their pretty promenades, all adding to a relaxing holiday.  Discover why the cosmopolitan south coast resort of Brighton is now regarded as one of the country’s leading seaside destinations.

Sunday – Day 1

We depart Somerset and head east to Sussex.  Our first stop is in Chichester where you have some time at leisure and the chance to explore its cathedral Bishop’s Palace Gardens, picturesque Cathedral Close and the Novium Museum.  Then it is onto Brighton and the Old Ship Hotel, our base for 2 nights.

Monday – Day 2

Today is free for you to explore Brighton. Famed for its pebble beach and stylish regency architecture, together with all the traditional seaside fun, there is much to see and do in this much-loved resort. The spectacular Royal Pavilion was transformed in the early 19th century into a handsome villa. Inside you can visit the great rooms used by George IV, Prince Regent, including the banqueting room, great kitchens, royal bedrooms and grand saloon rooms. For the more adventurous you may like to take a ride on the new British Airways i360, as you gently glide up a 450ft tower in the stunning glass viewing pod with views (on a clear day) to the South Downs National Park, and across to the Isle Of Wight.

Tuesday - Day 3

After breakfast we depart for home, though initially making our way to Worthing for a coffee stop and time to explore this delightful seaside town.  We continue to Bognor Regis, affectionately known as England’s “Sunshine Capital” with its promenade, long beach, friendly town and cosy cafes.  We then re-join the coach and head for home.

Hotel Information

We stay at the Old Ship Hotel in Brighton.  Located in an unbeatable position on the seafront, this is the oldest recorded hotel in the city with parts dating from 1599. There are 154 bedrooms all decorated in a classical style, some of which have sea views.  All rooms have climate control, central heating, high-speed internet, flat-screen television and a writing desk as well as an electric kettle and coffee/tea makers. They also have private bathrooms with a bathtub, a shower and free toiletries.  The hotel has a lift.

About Our Tours

We have been operating tours and mini breaks around the U.K. and abroad for a number of years, and by far the most popular innovation that we have introduced in recent years, is to offer a virtually door to door service. Picking up as near as practically possible to your home in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire means you don’t have to worry about getting your luggage to the coach, and avoids the additional cost of having to use taxis.

By using our small fleet of mini-buses, we are able to keep the pick-up time to a minimum and get you on your tour coach and on your way as soon as possible. This way your holiday starts on the first morning. Once your holiday is over we will collect you again from the coach park and return you home.
