The Cotswolds at Snowdrop Time

Using the historic city of Worcester as our base, we enjoy a meander through the beautiful villages and towns of the area and visit possibly England’s best snowdrop garden at Colesbourne Park. Here there are an astonishing 350 varieties, mark marked; a delight for the enthusiast but also for the lover for fine England gardens and countryside.

Friday – Day 1

We travel via Cheltenham and Tewkesbury with a chance for you to explore both of these historic towns before we continue to Worcester and the Fownes hotel for a three-night stay.

Saturday – Day 2

We head into the North Cotswolds and travel through the pleasant Village of Broadway on our way to Batsford Arboretum which is a real delight at snowdrop time.  Wander through drifts of Snowdrops - plus Aconites, Crocuses and Hellebores - in the arboretum, followed a by a spot of retail therapy in the gift and garden shops!  We then head to the north of the region and the popular town of Stratford upon Avon, synonymous with William Shakespeare.

Sunday - Day 3

We head to the popular city of Gloucester, with its dramatic water front converted warehouses, an array of restaurants and bars as well as the Gloucester Quays shopping complex.  We then head to Colesbourne Park renowned for its magnificent display of rare snowdrops.  The gardens cover some 10 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with walks through wooded areas and alongside the famous blue lake as well as through the new spring garden and formal garden.  The surrounding park with its arboretum of interesting tress and nearby church are also open.

Monday – Day 4

After a final leisurely breakfast, free time will be given in our host city of Worcester - a beautiful Cathedral and University City with a fascinating history of industry, a wealth of interesting architecture, an unrivalled selection of high street names and independent boutiques. You may wish to visit the Museum of Royal Worcester which has collections dating back to 1751.  We then re-join our coach and head for home.

About Our Tours

We have been operating tours and mini breaks around the U.K. and abroad for a number of years, and by far the most popular innovation that we have introduced in recent years, is to offer a virtually door to door service. Picking up as near as practically possible to your home in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire means you don’t have to worry about getting your luggage to the coach, and avoids the additional cost of having to use taxis.

By using our small fleet of mini-buses, we are able to keep the pick-up time to a minimum and get you on your tour coach and on your way as soon as possible. This way your holiday starts on the first morning. Once your holiday is over we will collect you again from the coach park and return you home.
