Great Yarmouth

With miles of golden sands and a great range of attractions, the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is always a popular choice  and our new tour features an impressive National Trust property, a steam train journey, Broads cruise, Shire horses, an historic city centre and, of course, the beautiful beaches of Great Yarmouth and Cromer.

Wednesday - Day 1

We make our cross country journey to the Norfolk seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, and the Prom Hotel, our base for 5 nights.

Thursday – Day 2

This morning we visit elegant Felbrigg Hall, full of opulence and homeliness. The house is beautifully furnished and features stained glass windows dating back to the 15th century, and has a stunning walled garden. In the afternoon, we spend free time in nearby Cromer, one of Norfolk’s classic seaside towns, before visiting the Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary where we meet the gentle giant Shire horses.

Friday - Day 3

Today, we spend time at leisure in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk’s premier coastal town and home to 15 miles of golden, sandy beaches. Some of the resort's  many attractions include the Time and Tide Museum, where we can wander down a typical 1913 ‘Row’ and see inside the homes of local fishermen, and the award winning Merrivale Model Village, Railway and Gardens, set over an acre of landscaped gardens with streams and waterfalls.

Saturday – Day 4

A full day excursion to the nearby city of Norwich.  Norwich is a wonderful fusion of the modern and historic, one complementing the other.  Like any great city its centre is easy to walk around and has a river at its heart.  As well as being the most complete medieval city in the UK, it has a flourishing arts, music and cultural scene, superb independent as well as High Street shopping and a heritage that is a delight to explore. It was also England's first UNESCO City of Literature – this is a city of stories!

Sunday – Day 5

This morning we enjoy a 45 minute steam train journey on the Bure Valley Railway through the beautiful Norfolk countryside.  On arrival in Wroxham, we disembark and have some time at leisure to explore, before we head to Wroxham Bridge, from where we begin the next stage of our journey, a 90 minute circular cruise of the Norfolk Broads.

Monday – Day 6

Time to leave East Anglia behind and make our way back home to the South West.

About Our Tours

We have been operating tours and mini breaks around the U.K. and abroad for a number of years, and by far the most popular innovation that we have introduced in recent years, is to offer a virtually door to door service. Picking up as near as practically possible to your home in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire means you don’t have to worry about getting your luggage to the coach, and avoids the additional cost of having to use taxis.

By using our small fleet of mini-buses, we are able to keep the pick-up time to a minimum and get you on your tour coach and on your way as soon as possible. This way your holiday starts on the first morning. Once your holiday is over we will collect you again from the coach park and return you home.
